Starting from December 1st, the Ministry of Commerce will apply a preferential tariff rate of zero to 100% of products originating the least developed countries that have diplomatic relations with China.
At a press conference held by the State Council Information Office recently, a person in charge of the Ministry of Commerce said that China will expand unilateral opening to the least developed countries with multiple measures.
Commerce Minister Tang Wen-hong introduced that from December 1st, products originating from the least developed countries (LDCs) that have diplomatic with China will be subject to a preferential tariff rate of zero on 100% of tariff lines. The Ministry of Commerce will work with relevant departments support these LDCs in fully utilizing this preferential arrangement.
At the same time, we will give full play to the role of the green channel for African products to be exported to China, carry out skills, etc., to support the development of cross-border e-commerce enterprises, and cultivate new drivers of trade; hold exhibitions such as the CIIE to build platforms and for high-quality and distinctive products from the least developed countries to enter the Chinese market and connect with the world market.
Tang Wenhong said the seventh CIIE will be held from Nov. 5 to 10, with 37 of the's least developed countries participating. The Ministry of Commerce will provide more than 120 free booths for these enterprises. The area for the African products special zone this year's CIIE will be further expanded, with more對(duì)接 opportunities for African exhibitors and Chinese buyers.
