At a press conference held by the State Council Information Office recently, a person in charge of the Ministry of Commerce said that China will expand unilateral opening to the least developed countries with multiple measures.

Commerce Minister Tang Wen-hong introduced that from December 1st, products originating from the least developed countries (LDCs) that have diplomatic with China will be subject to a preferential tariff rate of zero on 100% of tariff lines. The Ministry of Commerce will work with relevant departments support these LDCs in fully utilizing this preferential arrangement.
